Week 12 A
CONSISTENCY AND SURRENDER
My dear friend
I can not believe that we are at the end!
And yet, it’s only the beginning of a new life of freedom for you!
Whether you’re all the way there, or still on your journey, I believe that you can never be the same once you’ve truly looked into the face of Jesus and started to build a love relationship with Him.
This is not really the end of our journey together either:
I will keep updating this website with the latest research and information in the field of Eating Disorders. You are a member for as long as you want to be, and I will be happy to keep sending you information and updates.
Whether you’ve come full circle or you’re still on your journey to total freedom: Always remember God’s awesome promise for our lives that we’ve written down in front of our journals
Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP)
For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
Let’s look for a minute at where you’re at after the 12 Weeks
Have you had great victory during the 12 Weeks?
If you have made great strides and feel that you are totally healed from this disorder then I rejoice with you!
All the glory to God, He is the only one who can truly set us free!
I felt this awesome joy of deliverance when God set me free from bulimia. I had to work at it, make no mistake, but when it was over I just knew it was over, and for many years now I haven’t looked back. It was a clean break with purging and I can not thank the Lord enough for that.
If this happened to you, would you please send me an email where you tell me about God’s awesome work in your life? I would love to put your testimony, where you give all the glory to God, on this website. It will be a great encouragement to you when you read it again, maybe years from now, and it will also encourage others who are still struggling, especially those ladies who might have lost all hope.
Did you not quite receive the breakthrough that you were hoping for?
Philippians 1:6(NIV)
“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
My heart truly aches for you, my dearest friend, who may not feel quite so blessed, but rather discouraged to be at the end of this course, yet you’re still not free.
I believe that God has kept some of this pain and disappointment in my life, in the form of compulsive overeating, so that I can still relate to you and encourage you while I am writing this.
I have come a long way with this disorder, but I can not say that I am 100% free fromovereating.
I can say that I don’t fall often and that I get up quickly these days, but it is not quite the same as with bulimia where I had a clean break and never looked back to binging and purging (for 10 years now)
So please let me say this to you: It’s okay. We all have different times of healing, because we have different amount of layers that needs to come off. On top of that: not all those layers just peel of like onion layers, some needs to be literally chiseled off by the Master Sculptor.
Are you already asking yourself: “What did I miss? Maybe I need to go through the course again. Maybe I skipped something.”
Please listen to me: If you went through the whole course and applied the principals to your life (not perfectly, just to the best of your ability) then you did great. Then God changed exactly the things in you that needed changing in these 12 Weeks.
But if you think that this can not possibly be it, then you are right, it isn’t!
This is just the beginning of your journey. I got you started and now I believe that the Holy Spirit will take you beyond human knowledge and understanding. I don’t mean to wash my hands from this, but I truly believe that when we’re at our wits end, God can finally take over. I am excited to know what God is going to do for you. This I know for sure: He is willing and able to do something for you, so if you give Him a chance, something amazing is bound to happen…
Remember, you are a lifetime member of this course for a reason:
I told you that I am planning on updating the material and sending you the information, but more importantly, you can come back to parts of this study as the Holy Spirit stirs certain things in you.
Know for sure that there are some layers that didn’t come off this time around because it was simply not the right time: Maybe your heart was not ready to respond or open up the wounds of the past in a particular area.
God’s timing plays a roll in all of this for sure and I am convinced that He led you to this program
I pray every day that He will direct women to this progam who need to hear about the things He’s done for me and others, in order to help them overcome. I’m sure you prayed your own prayers and others prayed for you as well and that He worked everything out according to His plan for your life. God changed what He wanted to change, but He also sowed seeds where He wanted things to come up in you. So half of what He did, you can not even begin to see.
Please don’t think that I am saying this to pacify you. I hope that you got to know me a little through the videos by now and I can assure you that I am telling you the honest truth. I’ve walked this journey long before I penned it down and I know that some things simply takes time, but if we don’t give up, it happens. I have gone through courses and books and counseling that dealt with the things I put into this 12 Weeks for you, and some of it immediately resonated in me and brought forth fruit. Others came up later and dropped some fruit on me when I least expected it.
So please don’t give up, you will still feel the aftermath of the things that we talked about in your life for quite some time.
If we do our part, surrender to Him and resist the enemy, He will make our desires new and eventually we will be free. But the timing of our total deliverance is in His hands. Keep the faith girl! You are actually being delivered a little bit every day, and one day the last chain will just snap, as I experienced when God delivered me from bulimia.
The hardest thing I had to do though was to wait patiently for God’s timing in all of this.
Consistency
![]() |
IMPORTANT: Nothing in life that is truly worth having comes without consistency! |
Seriously, think about it: A happy marriage, a well behaved child, a successful business, a degree, a sports trophy, a promotion, a beautiful garden, a healthy body, a strong relationship with God, a life free from addiction.
Consistently working at something produces great results.
Check it out, it’s in the Bible:
Galatians 6:9 (AMP)
And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.
Surrender
We spoke a lot about surrender: All the knowledge in the world isn’t worth much if you don’t surrender to God by actually doing what He told you to do.
True Surrender produces True Obedience
Just hearing the Word and going though programs like this doesn’t mean anything if we don’t OBEY and put it into action.
Take a look at this verse:
Mark 4:18-20 (NIV)
Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—thirty, sixty or even a hundred times what was sown.”
Would you again today commit to SURRENDER TO GOD and to do it CONSISTENTLY
It basically comes down to making time for God daily so that you can grow in relationship with Him and especially learn to recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit throughout your day. You may not be in control of your eating, but you are in control of your time. Surrendering your time to God is a step of obedience
ONE Thing to Never do: NEVER, EVER QUIT!
|
What if you decide today to get up one more time, and it is the time for you?
OR …
What if you decided to not get up this time and you stop one “getting-up” short of the victory? |
Micah 7:7-8 (AMP)
But as for me, I will look to the Lord and confident in Him I will keep watch; I will wait with hope and expectancy for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.
Rejoice not against me, O my enemy! When I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light to me.
Revelation 3:12 (AMP)
He who overcomes (is victorious), I will make him a pillar in the sanctuary of My God; he shall never be put out of it or go out of it, and I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which descends from My God out of heaven, and My own new name.
WE OVERCOME BY THE WORD OF OUR TESTIMONY!
Start telling the world around you what God has already done for you.
- Did He help you to forgive?
- Did the Word came alive to you?
- Did He reveal Himself in a way to you that you have never seen or felt before?
I know you have something to share, my dear friend. Don’t keep it to yourself and don’t let the enemy rob you from your testimony by telling you that you might never be totally free. Remember: He is and always will be a liar. He lied to you in the past and he is still doing it today, but you don’t have to believe him anymore. Keep telling others about God’s goodness.
So even if you’re not all the way there, I want to encourage you to write me an email with your testimony of the awesome things God has already done in and for you. I would love to post your testimony on my website, with your permission.
Lift up your head girl, this is not the end!
Greater things are yet to come if you don’t give up.
With God on your side, you can be set free and stay victorious for the rest of your Life!
